SolarPaint Ltd. was established in 2014 to commercialize the vision of Eran Maimon to bring the potential of a new third generation nanotechnology able to produce renewable power and maximize the potential of the built environment in contributing to the demands of global energy consumption.
SolarPaint develops functional coating technology able to turn any surface into a 'solar panel'. Using patented, disruptive nanomaterials, the 'solar paint' has multiple applications including outdoor signage, transportation, buildings and infrastructure. SolarPaint optimizes land-use and generates solar power both on and off-grid aesthetically, cheaply and efficiently.
Headquartered in Kibbutz Nachsholim, R&D operations are based in the Technion institution of Technology, Haifa.
