The Commission For Energy and Environmental Sustainability (CEES) is an advising body to the City of Farmington Hills, Michigan City Council. At its inception, it was an internal committee whose purpose was to save money by recommending measures that would lower the City’s energy expenditures. Since then, the committee has been expanded by the City Council in scope and membership. Today the focus is to cultivate a more sustainable community not only through its recommendations to City leaders, but also through community education and engagement in energy and environmental issues.
The Commission For Energy and Environmental Sustainability (CEES) is an assembly of diverse community members and City leaders with varying expertise and interest in sustainability. All Commission meetings are posted on the City calendar.
