The Greens/EFA in the European Parliament set up a dedicated working group to develop Green New Deal policies. Transversal by nature, the Green New Deal covers many domains covered in the European Parliament, including climate and energy policy, industrial policy, economic policy, employment policy, social policy and mobility policy.

Green MEPs with seats on different Parliamentary Committees are working hard to make the Green New Deal a reality by building strategies and forging alliances with a wide range of stakeholders, like civil society organisations, trade unions, entrepreneurs and sustainable businesses. We are also actively lobbying for the inclusion of Green New Deal objectives and policies in EU legislation and decisions taken by the European Parliament.

At the same time, we draft policy papers, commission major studies and organise workshops and conferences with experts, stakeholders, citizens and Greens from across Europe.
